What a Week Ahead!!!
“Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of the covenant was seen within His temple…” -Revelation 11:19
It’s September, the month of busy calendars! Don’t believe us? Here is what this first full week of September has in store:
- Labor Day: Monday is the country’s 133rd Labor Day holiday recognizing the contributions of American workers. It has also become the unofficial end of summer. Get ready for Fall!
- Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Tuesday marks the first day of school in Cheshire. It’s also the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the new Ark of the Covenant. We celebrate Mary’s birth on September 8th because it is nine months following the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (which is December 8th).
- Patriot Day: Friday is the 25th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Since 2002, the country has marked this solemn occasion as “Patriot Day” to honor the victims and responders who died in those horrific attacks. Note that this is different from “Patriots’ Day,” a state holiday in Massachusetts and Maine marking the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
