Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest
“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” -Luke 1:31
While it is only All Saints Day, it is time to start thinking about Christmas–Christmas posters, that is! The Knights are sponsoring their annual “Keep Christ in Christmas” Poster Contest to help spread the true meaning of Christmas. All grade school age children are invited to participate.
Your poster must reflect the “Keep Christ in Christmas” theme through your own unique creative vision–your concept, layout, slogan and visual images must be your original work. The poster should be presented on an 11” x 17” poster board using any medium–pencil, ink, paint, crayon, markers, etc. (if you use pastels, chalk or charcoal, please laminate or cover your poster with clear plastic so the powder from those mediums do not rub off or smear on contact).
Posters, along with a completed entry form, must be submitted to the Parish Office by November 22nd. The entry forms are available at each of the entrances to the church, as well as on our website www.cheshirekofc.org. Be sure to include your name and grade on the back of the posters. We can only accept individual submissions–sorry, no group or partner entries are allowed. Posters will be judged and winners selected in the following five categories: Grade K, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6 and Grades 7-8. Winning posters in each category will be forwarded to the District level competition.
On this All Saints Day, pray for the intercession of your favorite saint for inspiration to create a winning poster and then get to work! The November 22nd deadline will be here before you know it!
